Exam Pattern

The IRS recruitment is conducted through the UPSC Civil Services Examination, which has three stages:

  1. Preliminary Exam: Objective-type questions on General Studies and CSAT.

  2. Main Exam: Descriptive papers, including an essay, general studies, and optional subjects.

  3. Interview: Personality test to assess suitability for the service.
